Aspects of Design
This course will enable you to develop and nurture your understanding of the design process. We will look into the elements required to create beautiful and original jewellery. However, the effectiveness of this course relies on your willingness to immerse yourself in the world of art and design, indulge in research and delight in new ways of thinking.
This course is divided into four modules:
Design Fundamentals: This module will give you the skills to begin recording your ideas for future projects.
The Design Process: This builds upon module one by developing the ideas recorded and creatively expanding them into concepts for future projects.
Elements of Design: This module will explore topics such as shape, form, texture and colour, and the important part these elements play in the aesthetics of a piece.
Creative Concepts: Builds upon the aesthetic principles of the prior module and expands into the artistic forms the final piece may reflect, and the narrative each piece tells.
Duration: 8 evening sessions, or a 4-day intensive course.
